| Exporting to Japan |
4 December 2018
Over the last couple of months, APMS has had the privilege to work alongside an amazing team at the Western Australian Trade Office, to complete the process of exporting on of Australia's first consignments of WA avocados to Japan.
Japan is considered one of the hardest countries in the world to gain access to, so it has been an extraordinary effort by the team at APMS and our growers to pass our MAFF audits and be granted export access by the Japanese Government. One of the only two avocado packing facilities in the whole country to do so.
As we speak, APMS growers fruit is being prepared to be apart of the Avocados Australia launch at the Australian Embassy in Japan on December 11th 2018, which marks a monumental step forward in AAL's export market development program.
AAL, HIA and the Australian Government have worked hard to develop the Japan export protocol, which is a fundamental stepping stone in securing markets for the projected increase in volume of Australian avocados.
At APMS we firmly believe in continuing to build the future of the avocado industry and look forward to continuing our work with AAL and HIA to gain access to more countries and develop more markets for Australian avocado growers.
